About the post thing, turns out I have a couple unpublished posts. So when I log in it said it was my 100th. You can only see published ones. So I think I have 3 more to go before I reach 100.

O Well

100th Post

So I decided today to post since it has been forever and people keep reminding me, like it has slipped my mind that I have not blogged. Sad to say life got a little hectic. As EVERYONE knows I got engaged in October. Congratulations to me (insert cute little smile here). Anyways, well planning the wedding or I should say lack of planning, has me somewhat unsettled. I think that I am stressed. The only thing we have planned is that the wedding will be in Boston and it will be in April. We should have the day and place by the end of the week. Hopefully. School starts back up for me Wednesday which caught me completely off guard, considering I was expecting to go back around the 20th. Not really sure where I got that idea from. I am training for a race on the 22nd of March. Dana and I are doing a duatholon. I run 5 cross country miles and then meet up with him where he does a 12 mile bike. I am so excited about this. I really needed incentive to get in shape. I have been doing really well. Since I got back from Boston in August I lost 12 lbs and 2 pant sizes. So now I am back in a 0. Very funny because I still feel like I have SO far to go. I tell Rudy that he has been a good influence on me because since I have been dating him, I have been losing weight. However I have been on a cookie fix lately. I love baking cookies for everyone. Which I was told I needed to stop doing since Rudy doesn't want to be eating them all the time. So I guess its safe to say that I have a lot on my plate. In the next 2 weeks I have like 3 auditions, maybe 4. That only adds to the stress factor. I want to have all of the scripts down but being in character for 6 different people is really hard. For my audition on Saturday I have to have 3 sides memorized. I got the sides for another audition on the 12th but I am going to wait on that. Then the 19th I have a casting call to go to. I write all of this stuff down and I cant help but think that I must sound so random to the onlooker. The other day I was catching up with a friend and she just started laughing at something I said, when I questioned her she said "You are always doing something so random." How well she knows me. So this is my 100th blog post, kinda crazy because I cant believe I have written 100 of these things. I think its safe to say, "I love the hear myself talk" My twin, Chris is now up in Boston. He will be there for a couple months. At least till the wedding. I miss him already. I love having him around he is my buddy (insert sad face here). Anyways its New Years Eve. Not too sure what I will be doing. Hanging with some people but we just don't have a plan, one of those nights. I hope all of you stay safe tonight, and look forward to more blogs in the new year. SCARY.

The scores are in

So last night I had the ever dreaded test of the week. All essay and definitions style, basically meaning that no clues were given as to what the teacher was talking about. If you didnt know the material you didnt know it, and that was it. So I am sitting in class, 6:10 and I am in the back so I get the test last. I look down at it and start flying, I covered two pages in black ink in a matter of less than 5 minutes. I look up and then back down and realize yes I was done, and no one else was near done. Not even the 20 people in front of me who started before me. I get up bring the test to the teacher, who gasped and looked up at me almost in disbelief at how fast I was finished. I went and sat back down, and he called me up to grade my test. "Awe man you have the correct definition but its in the wrong place." He said, as my heart sunk. I blew it, I should have kept it, I should have looked over it, I didnt even look over it. Who does that. Turns out I got a 29/30. He took one point off for the definition mix up. I am so relieved. I cant even let you know. Now I am DEFINITELY ready for my mini vacation. It's almost like a reward for my hard work, which is only just beginning. This test covered 8 chapters of material, the next one only covers 5, so it shouldn't be too bad. I have to get all A's this quarter. I am taking 3 classes, but this entrepreneurship class counts for 2 classes, so if I get an A then it will be the equivalent to two A's. So basically I can not get a B in this class. There is no way. If I didnt get an A on that test I was going to drop the class. I have never dropped a class before and didnt understand why anyone did. Now I know. Tomorrow there is a big lunch thing that I am going to. It is my boss, the CEO, the GA Center managers (All 6 of them) and the Area Marketing Managers (4). I am kinda nervous guys Im not going to lie. I am really excited to see Chris, our CEO because I have not seen him since I have been back from Italy. I use to see him a couple times a week, here and there. He is a really nice guy, but then again I think everyone is nice. This guy is really nice though. The first time I met him, I had no idea who he was, so I was like "Hey come over here and play frisbee with me..." Turns out he knew how to throw it, really well! It was at a company lunch they threw outside our office. They grilled up some hotdogs, and everyone went out at lunch and grabbed a bite and chilled. And in my case, I made 2 guys throw a frisbee with me. When we got inside a couple of the managers were like "look at Sarah, you are so smart out there throwing the frisbee with the new CEO." I was like "Huh who was? Who is that?" The whole office just laughed because I am completely oblivious. Anyways, the point is, he really is a nice guy. So it will be nice to see him tomorrow, however I am nervous to be at this meeting. I dont want to be out of my element. The old Sarah would have basked to be in every ones presence. However since starting this new job, I feel like I have been left behind on the corporate band wagon. I dont ever see anyone. I went from being at corporate, rubbing elbows with the VPs to sitting here by myself everyday. I dont ever see ANYONE. I will be honest with you, its eating away at me. I hate it. I like being visible, and I like using my social skills in the workplace, which for corporate training goes hand in hand. But Im not doing that. I am lucky to have a real business conversation within a 2 week period. There is no one that I talk to. EVER. I feel like a lot of my strengths are being wasted, and no one wants that. So now tomorrow, I feel like I am going to be out of my element, mainly because I have been out of it SO long. I dont ever see these people, never talk to them. So how am I supposed to act, plus I have no idea why this lunch was called. Are they going to drop a bomb on us? Will it be good news, bad news, no news and just some camaraderie. It should be interesting to say the least, and its obvious that I am putting WAY too much thought into this.

What I have been up to

So I will be in Boston on Friday. I am really excited because we are going to the ballet to see La Sylphide. Boston Ballet will be performing it in Spain, this summer. Then Saturday we will be going to the beer festival, where I will be wearing my beer girl outfit. It will be nice to get away and relax. I am really upset about having to leave my little girl behind though. I miss her when I go to work, I cant imagine 4 days away from her. Im getting my hair cut on Friday :) That will be exciting. I will probably just get it done the same way. I liked that last cut, well except the back it was kinda choppy. The girl that I went to is not there anymore though. She had to quit because she was not in the city anymore and the trip was too much. So some other guy is doing it. I am considering going to Italy for 3 months. Well Rudy and I have been talking about it, and Im thinking it might be a good thing to do, but who knows. I change my mind on things all the time. Oh well. Sorry for such a boring post, I live a boring life. Nathans blog was pretty cool. He is in Italy well, was.... I am not sure if he is back now, but he was there 6 weeks. He stopped blogging though. I was enjoying reading it. The shins show was last week, it was so awesome. Everyone was there, literally. I knew 25 people there. It was so much fun! Elissa came with us, which I was glad about, because we dont get to see eachother too much. Yesterday we went to a winery in the mountains. It was sooo nice, we ate outside overlooking the mountains, had some wine and lunch then went to the apple festival. I rode a bull there, mechanical one of course, and I pet a baby deer. Literally a baby deer. It was so cute! And it licked me. It was amazing. Ok so thats everything I have been up to recently. I have a test tomorrow on 8 chapters of materials. Not fun!!!! So I guess I will go now.

Greys Night

So tonight is the night, that we have ALL been waiting for. I must say, that I am beyond psyched. Greys Anatomy Season Premier. I have class tonight :( Bummer. And tomorrow at 8:30 Am. Mind you I have to drive in the WORST traffic ever to get there. Which means I have to leave my house by 7:45. Probably earlier then that actually. I dont even get out of bed till like 8:20 every morning now. This quarter is going to suck thank god Im still on Quarters. A semester of a crappy schedule would be 10 times worse. I think next quarter I have to try to pick up like 4 classes. So that I can finish in the spring as planned. Then..... drumroll please... I get to apply back at Arnold and hopefully move up to Boston. That is, if my sweet boyfriend will come with me. Ladies does he have a choice????? Probably not :) Anyways, I am just really excited about the chance to get in with a company like Arnold, because if I do that, I have secured a place at pretty much any advertising company as a traffic manager/ project manager. If I dont get in, I could always just kill myself. Haa haa, its a joke. A rather funny one at that. Ok I am busy so I am going to go.

The purpose of todays blog....

Illicit excitement over the phenomenon known as.... GREYS

Forever since I posted

Man, It has been forever since I posted. As many of you already know, my little girl got sick on Sunday night. I was besides myself with worry, and stayed up with her the whole night. At 7 in the morning, I put her in the carrier and brought her to the Vet. I love having my kitten, I love being a mommy. I take care of her, bathe her, give her medicine, all that fun stuff. I must say that I might be a little too obsessed with her. People at work keep telling me I need to have kids. I think it is the opposite. As long as I have Isabelle, I am perfectly content. Something, I have not been in a long time. Work has had me really down lately. Rudy has been really supportive of the fact that I'm just really unhappy. Last night he made me dinner to cheer me up, the wine probably would have just done the trick. I guess its the fact that I have very little interaction with anyone. The work that I am doing is very basic, and lacks any creative outlet that I could thrive from. I like to be interactive with different levels of employees, I like to be able to express my artistic and creative abilities. I need to be in a line of work that would enable this, preferably advertising. Its just so frustrating sometimes, to know what you want, and not be able to get there. I don't travel in my new position, which again is very frustrating, as I was very happy doing that before. I guess I just need to find something that I can be happy with. A job where working overtime, is something I would gladly do. Not something that constantly has me glancing at the clock.

So plans for tonight.... Martini & Imax. I have been wanting to go for a while, but have never got around to doing it. We are going with Scott and Jessica.

I also need to get my hair cut this weekend..... Not sure if that will happen. I think its time for a new look.

Ok well I must be going now. I will try to blog later.

Its opening day! I am beyond elated right now. I can not contain myself! So I thought, let me blog and inform everyone whats going on. I will be leaving tonight or tomorrow. This will be one party filled weekend.

I love her! I love her! I love her!

So my little kitten is so cute. I just love her to death! We went and got her on Friday and I am obsessed with her, Literally. So this weekend we did our Fantasy Football draft. We have 12 teams on the league. In my opinion thats too many! I need to get on another league, I am not too happy with this one. If anyone wants to invite me into their league then I might just take you up on the offer :) Im still waiting to find out if I got the tickets for the opening game, Jets vs Patriots. That is going to be one awesome game! However if we lose, I will be one unhappy camper. Ok well I am at work right now, I should probably go....

Consider me informed

So I understand that I have not blogged in what seems like forever. Give me a break, I have been busy. As everyone knows Michele did come to Boston to chill with me. The results 5 crazy, crazy nights! We met Italians, and Sweeds that were beyond adorable and fun to boot. She made a new best friend Timmy, and we had lots of laughs. Of course there are a lot of incriminating photos. Expect those in the near future..... hopefully tomorrow. So many of you know that Rudy and I have decided to get a kitten. Originally it was going to be a puppy. I have been pressing him to get me a puppy, and he finally agreed that is was a possibility. The only thing is, we will be keeping it at his house, and we both work. So I would have to go home every day and let her out and play with her. I thought about it long and hard and suggested that maybe a kitten was the best bet for now, you know before I quit my job and start letting him support me :) Rudy that was not a joke :) Anyways, so we talked about it last week, and have been looking. We found one that we are going to look at tonight. If she is friendly and likes me we are going to get her. I attached the picture. We have a choice between the two. I like the seal mitted. Thats the one looking at the camera. We are going to name her Mandy, after the love of my life, Mandy Moore. I am so excited!!! Leave me comments to tell me how cute you think she is. I will blog tomorrow and let you know if we got her.

What is she doing in Boston....

So I thought I should blog about what exactly I am doing in Boston. If I really just left the details out this blog would end here. Truth is, I am doing nothing. I dont really feel like going out and drinking or hanging out late at night. I really just feel like being home or going shopping, or sitting out by the water. I guess it has to do with me being kinda depressed. I miss my buddy. So I guess thats kinda my problem :) Plus the men around here are really ridiculous. I am so over being hit on by random men that think they would ever have a chance. I know that sounds rude, but I went out with Nikki on Friday and it was ridiculous how many guys were trying to talk to us, or checking us out. It kinda got to the point that I was just really annoyed. Plus some guy grabbed me and was trying to pull me towards him in the street. So I gave him this NASTY look and grabbed my hand back and he started yelling at me. I kinda yelled back but not really towards him as much as towards Nikki. We did end up finding a good group of guys to hang out with. The only guys in the place out to have a fun time, and not pick us up. Its amazing how fast you spot the difference. So I thought that since some guys probably read this I would give you some pick up tips. How to get a girls attention the RIGHT way......

1. Dont approach a girl and ask her to dance unless she gives you the invite. I got this one from Bob and will say I criticized him for it. I will say it once, but.... Bob you were right. So why is this important? Well dancing is a somewhat intimate thing. If a girl doesn't show any interest in you TRUST me, she has no interest in wanting to be close to you to dance. Plus after the 20th guy asking her to dance, she is really annoyed and will probably at that point will just say no to anyone . So wait it out. If you notice her looking at you then you can consider the approach.

2. Know the difference between looking and looking. So this goes along with the other one. If you are staring and a girl and catch her looking back, consider the fact you have been staring too long and she has at this point probably discerned that. She could be trying to keep an eye on you hoping that you keep your creepy distance.

3. Sure signs she is LOOKING. If a girl is interested she WILL catch your eye, meaning she will make eye contact and hold it for at least 2 seconds. If a girl does this she is giving you the go ahead. Look to see if there is any sign of a smile is involved this is a definite plus, keeping in mind tip number 2. Girls also try the "area approach" Where they spot you out and try to migrate to your general area. Maybe even two spots down at the bar. If she does this and glances your way chances are she is interested. Give it a second and look for body language, suddenly playing with hair, lots of smiles that happen to be always in your view, and of course eye contact.

4. The approach. If a girl is giving you all of the signs then your approach is at this point probably a sure thing. Don't mess it up! How would you mess it up? If you are drunk, keep in mind that it would probably be a turn off. Also avoid any creepy staring, and do not go for any grouping. The grouping one will turn any lady away immediately. I say lady, because slutty girls would probably like it, but these tips are geared to you talking to ladies not ....... you get the point.

5. Just be there to have fun. Any girl you would want to approach has probably been hit on a lot through the course of the night. If you want to be different, dont try to pick her up. This is noticeable in the first few moments of meeting a guy. Girls do know what the intent is, so even if you intent to pick her up, change your mind before the approach. You are there because she seems like an interesting person, and you would like to be a small part of the reason she is having fun that night. So entertain her, bring something to the table. If you want to dance, just start dancing, and see if she responds. This approach will always work better for you TRUST me! It breaks the ice immediately when you realize this is just another cool person to hang out with, and hes not just trying to pick you up.

I am not sure if anyone reading this would even have any use for my tips. But it was fun writing is. And who knows, maybe a new reader will come on the scene and have a need for such advice.

So it turns out I am loved

Yea, so man I sounded like I was ready to jump off of a bridge after that last post. Shaun I appreciate you bringing to my attention that your life sucks more than mine, and that I am a dork. So tam called me to tell me I got lots of love on my last post, when I went back and read it I realized I how lame I sounded, and freaking depressed. MAN! I will admit, I have been depressed lately. Rudy said that a puppy would cheer me up, he said that because I am puppy obsessed right now. I was looking at them this morning. I want a little Tibetan terrier. I guess the fact that they are impossible to come by is a good thing, otherwise I might just have me a new best friend. I don't want to take care of a dog though. So I guess I don't need one. So its Friday! Thank God for that. I am tired today! I just want to lay around the house, and do nothing. I am working however so I really have to go. For all y'all who commented to tell me you loved me..... I LOVE YOU TOO!!! Tam and Elissa, we need to hang out when I get back. We don't see each other nearly enough. I should probably start a countdown for Michele. She will be here in 5 days! I cant wait!!!!

So I turned 25 finally. Got 4 inches cut off of my hair, still not sure how I feel about that one. Life is just crappy right now. Turns out I am not as positive about the Boston thing as I thought. All this after I landed 2 incredible interviews. I guess we will see how it goes. My motto..... Life is unpredictable, so you learn to expect the unexpected, and never put too much trust in one person. People let you down, so the quicker you learn that, the easier it is to be spared the disappointment. I think my life has been a string of one disappointment after the next, at times it seems rather unbearable, but as time goes by, it justs gets easier and easier to chew. My vacation is over, was that ever short lived or what! I start working tomorrow, and I should really be in bed right now, since I have to be at work at 9Am. I am kinda dreading it. I know this is a boring blog, for that I apologize. I will try to entertain you the next time. Its like 3:30 I need to go to bed.

My horrible experience

So I was in the tanning bed today. 8 minutes go by and I start feeling immense burning. I stop the bed, thinking there is no way I am burned. I have been tanning all week on 18 minutes. I get out of the bed, and see that I am maroon. When I say maroon I mean maroon. I was so burned. The only part was the parts touching the glass, and I was only in there 8 minutes. There is no way that I was burned. I freaked out. I called the emergency room and asked if I should seek medical attention, and called the tanning salon, and asked them to have the manager call me as I wish to fill out an incident report. I get a phone call from the tanning bed owner and she explains to me that it was a lotion called hot & tan. Basically it makes your body really red, and makes you feel really hott and tingly. I have heard of those lotions, that do that. She assured me it would go down in a few more minutes. I looked in the mirror and boy was she right. But now I know why people want to use it. 8 minutes gave me an incredible tan, only problem, just the skin touching the bed was tanned like that. So now I have a crazy tan line in the shape of a box on my butt and a box on my back, not thats hott :/ I am supposed to go back tomorrow and Thursday to tan in an advanced bed. She gave me two free tans in the best bed they have, only problem is I was supposed to go get my wax tomorrow. So I might have to do that in Boston. Which would be nice. Saturday I am no longer surfing. Instead I am getting a facial and my hair cut. Might as well throw bikini wax in that fun filled day as well. Talk about a day of pampering :) I kinda would rather go tomorrow though. But if I go tomorrow I cant tan on Thursday, because it will irritate my skin. I guess I could always cover the area, but what fun would that be??? Half of the guys reading this blog are like, come on spare us the details. So I will conclude here.....

I have a new look

So my page has a whole new look to it. I changed pretty much all of the pictures out. As if I have to tell any of you that. I just thought about it and realized that I have LOTS of cute new pictures I should share. I am also posting them all on snapfish, and you guys can go on and look at all of them. There are A LOT from the 90s party. Its insane. Ummm what else. I am going to Boston for like almost 3 weeks. I asked my boss if I could work from there for a while and she said sure. I am technically only working like 8 days from there. The rest of the time I will be on "vacation" or it will be the weekend. Michele is coming up there with me, so it is going to be tons of fun. She wont be there till the 8th though. I will be there for 2 weeks before she gets there, how on earth will I keep myself occupied???? ( Insert evil grin here). Thats my new thing. E can attest, since I inserted like 5 grins in our convo today. My birthday is on the 28th. Talk about DEPRESSING. I will spend the afternoon surfing, and then I am going out. Not sure where I am going yet. Someplace fun though. Thats about all the info I have on that. I have not really made plans to do anything, so it should be really relaxing. I will have to show Michele a fun time though. She has not been there yet, boy is she in for a treat. The RedSoxs need volunteers to do surveys for them, you walk around interview people before the game and then you get to get into the game for free. I think we might do that. Only because it would be super fun to go up to random people and talk. Which reminds me. Mom can you please get me my tixs for Sept? For the Yankee game? I get first dibs on the dugout this time!! Boys shut your mouths. I am a princess :) Anyways, Michele is over and we literally spent 3 hours in this office putting pictures on the computer. LAME!

"Still I look for the beauty in songs"

So are the words engraved on my ipod. My theme song.

In my early years I hid my tears
And passed my days alone
Adrift on an ocean of loneliness
My dreams like nets were thrown
To catch the love that I'd heard of
In books and films and songs
Now there's a world of illusion and fantasy
In the place where the real world belongs

Still I look for the beauty in songs

To fill my head and lead me on
Though my dreams have come up torn and empty
As many times as love has come and gone

To those gentle ones my memory runs
To the laughter we shared at the meals
I filled their kitchens and living rooms
With my schemes and my broken wheels
It was never clear how far or near
The gates to my citadel lay
They were cutting from stone some dreams of their own
But they listened to mine anyway

I'm not sure what I'm trying to say

It could be I've lost my way
Though I keep a watch over the distance
Heaven's no closer than it was yesterday

And the angels are older
They know not to wait up for the sun
They look over my shoulder
At the maps and the drawings of the journey I've begun

Now the distance leads me farther on
Though the reasons I once had are gone
I keep thinking I'll find what I'm looking for
In the sand beneath the dawn

But the angels are older
They can see that the sun's setting fast
They look over my shoulder
At the vision of paradise contained in the light of the past
And they lay down behind me
To sleep beside the road till the morning has come
Where they know they will find me
With my maps and my faith in the distance
Moving farther on

My love of Music

Many of you know that I have a profound love of music. Of the musicians I admire the most, Jackson Browne it the one that touches me to the depths no other can. I remember stating "its like some people were made to write music, the fact that his music and lyrics are so deep and so raw, its as if his sole purpose in life was to touch others through his gift of song." I have journals of lyrics, that I often write, because they mean something. They caress a part of your soul leaving only a small resemblance of what might seem like a reality, but mostly a dream. A dream that even if things are bleak, even if life feels like its ended; someone understands; someone else cares. I had my ipod engraved with the words to one of his songs, that I always felt embodied me, embodies my philosophies, embodied my journey on what one might call life. A good life at that, but one touched by sorrow, pain, and disappointment. I have always said, if you want to get to know me, if you want me to really open up to the depths of my emotions, talk to me about music. I have been writing this blog about 5 minutes now. I can tell you that my fingers are flying. Something about music just does that to me. With that being said and with me being completely exposed, I though I would share the beauty "found in songs" I will be posting on a weekly basis, my favorite lyrics. Little poems and nuances that touch the pit of my being. My only hope is that you might feel something, or relate to them. Enjoy.

This is just plain funny. You cant really tell but two people are trying to get to us in the picture. Steven has the black fingers and Shaun has the Pacey Witter shirt on.

So Someone broke into our house the other day. They didnt steal anything, but basically we came home to find our garage door opener light on. Its only on when you open or close the garage. We were automatically kinda freaked because, no one was home, we were all at dinner. So instead of going through the front we went in the back door to look in the window. When I looked in I saw my computer on and told me brother not to go in, because i could see the computer light coming out of the office, and my computer is set on a timer. Well of course they didnt listen. So we all went in and they looked EVERYWHERE. When they go to the garage and opened the door the light went off, since it is on like a 5 minute timer. At this point I keep saying, "Someone has been on my computer it is set on a standby and it ALWAYS goes off" So I told everyone to leave my computer alone. Sure enough 2 minutes later the computer went on standby. We checked the setting just so we would know how long it had been since the computer had been touched. It was on a 10 minute delay. So basically someone was in our house. Nothing was stolen, which is suspicious because if it was a kid, they would have stole the video games or movies and the very least. I think its a stalker. Someone who has been reading my blog. I think that because I am a paranoid person. Its kinda scary.....

Anyways, the 90s party was this weekend. I only have a few pictures right now, there were like 6 cameras so I am waiting on some pics to be sent to me, but I went ahead and attached a few. Umm not much else has been going on. I am in a perpetual bad mood this weekend. I dont feel like leaving my house. It kinda sucks. I just want to lay in bed, and act like a baby. I just feel stressed I guess. I got a lot of stuff on my mind. I wish that I could be one of those people that is not affected by anything., but unfortunately its just not the case. I think I am running on a short fuse. Well I will blog more later.

School girls in the house.

Friday, July 6, 2007

So this weekend is going to be really chill. I am hanging out tonight with the boys. My brothers, Scott and Dana. We are gonna grab some Mexican and then hang around the house. I just woke up from a 20 minute nap. Gotta love that groggy feeling :) The 90s party is this weekend. I am going in a school girl outfit clueless style. I know I wore the plaid skirt in the 90s with the knee highs. I will have to take pictures of all the costumes and post them. Elissa, this should be fun!!!! I regret to tell you I am flying Solo this weekend so you will have to keep the boys away from me. Imagine me with a sly smile :) Anyways ummmm what else. Thats about all I have planned this weekend. Nice and low key, now lets just hope it stays that way. I am probably going to go to Ballet tomorrow, Saturday is the only day I have to dance, since I am in school. This will be a new class and teacher for me, at Atlanta Ballet. There is a two week Intensive Ballet program with the Boston Ballet, that I really want to go to in August, but that probably will not happen. Its two weeks of dance instruction for 4 hours a day! Craziness. I dont know that my legs can handle that! My muscles would be jello at the end of each class. Well I am kinda boring so I dont have much else to say. I will catch you later.

Blanket Statements

Quiet silences the darkest of nights
Nothing uttered in this vacant plight,
Empty promises and sorrowful tears
Broken dreams to lonesome fears

Little nothings whispered only in despair
Blanket Statements that go nowhere
Quietly waiting yet still holding on
Only to realize he has always been gone

Looking in his eyes to realize the truth
That all they had was lost in their youth
Two separate shadows alone in the night
Desperate travelers in this vacant plight.

So new additions

Ok so I was going through some of my video and pictures from Brugge and I realized I have some really good pictures. I posted one of the friends I made in Brugge. I spend two days chilling with them, Chris and Amanda. We did a canal tour and a beer tour. They were totally awesome, and I got some amazing pictures. I will have to post them soon. My little brother took some video of me leaving. I went ahead and posted that. Its definitely the true Sarah. Somewhat oblivious to whats going on :) Anyways, expect more stuff to come. I plan on making this site somewhat interesting. Its Tuesday night, feels like a Friday..... I'm going out :)

Been a long time

So over the weekend it was brought to my attention that I have not blogged in a decent amount of time. I do know this, but with school and work, and life, I just have not had the time to sit down and write. It was also brought to my attention that I jump around from subject to subject. So I will try something knew, a blog that actually makes sense.... And so we begin.

As many know I have not been dancing in what literally feels like forever. I believe that in some ways I might be going through withdrawals. Last night I had a dream that I was in a dance studio. Its a very simple thing, but man I was really happy to be there. All of my pirouettes were perfect. And I was doing fouettes, perfect ones! The ones like my Don Quiote video. Well I have been thinking about going to Boston, AGAIN. As we all know this is nothing new, I always say Im going, and have yet to do it. Half of the reason though was because I wanted to go to Italy. Which I did do. Boston has a REALLY good ballet school, The Boston Ballet. If I lived there I could dance twice a week. As Rob in London would say... O Happy Days.

I will be in Boston in 3 weeks when I turn 25. Kinda Scary huh. Last night we went out to Magianos and on our way home Michele and I were like "Stop the car, we are going to Fados." I was with my dad and Chris (the twin) So they stopped and let us out in Buckhead and we went to Fados. Well I get there and I do not have my passport, which is the only ID I have been carrying. So they wouldn't let me in. I was like "is this a joke?" Its so ironic I'm turning 25 and I cant get into a bar because I might not be 21. So we just walked around the back and the guy let us in, benefits of being a girl. I left out almost all of the details in this story because.... well I just do not feel like going into it. Plus there was a point I was trying to reach. That turning 25 isn't necessarily a bad thing, when you still look 21. Regardless, I will still be in Boston to hang out that weekend. And of course the Cape. My family lives on the Cape. I love my Grandparents house. Its so cute and familiar. The smell of wood floors and flowers. The same chair in the office, I sat in pretending to be a movie star at 5 years of age. My itinerary while I am there..... to have no itinerary. The last time I spent hours in the Boston Commons, just doing nothing. How simple right?! The only things I know for sure....Paramount, surfing, and black rose. This time, no whiskey shotting competitions, or multiple rounds of car bombs. Here is an equation for you.

Sarah+ 3 car bombs + whiskey shooting = Sarah in the street with a little secret + hangover the next day.

Chris can fill you in on the details. Leave out the white car by the fence..... "thats the secret" Rudy, Shaun and Jeremy could also probably figure it out.

My so called life

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a tendency to complicate the most mundane situations. My daddy calls me his little monkey wrench. I had lunch today with Antoinette and we discussed my pattern for doing this. I noted that many feel I am spoiled, and that my father gives me everything, and that I can not compromise. This however could not be FURTHER from the truth. But only one would know this by being in my family. The reason I got the term monkey wrench is because I ALWAYS seem to have a superior plan, one that my family members would rather not conform to. Well while this, i must say, is really working against them; they still RARELY give in. I understand how I got the term monkey wrench. Constant suggestions about how something could be improved, or a better way to go about achieving results could be somewhat of a monkey wrench. What I dont understand is one who says I can not compromise. One who says this does not know me, because my life, my so called life is one big compromise.
Example....

1. I will NEVER get to watch what I want on TV unless I use Jedi Mind Tricks to convince the boys that "THEY" want to watch it. Otherwise.... Sports center. While I love watching sports, Im not too big on watching pple talk about it. Especially when they do not solicit my input.

2. I will NEVER get to listen to what I want on the radio. Even if the guys ACTUALLY like it. As long as they know I want to hear it, the radio will be changed. Usually to something I really DO NOT WANT TO HEAR AT THE TIME.

3. Where I am going to eat. I dont get a choice. Sorry your out numbered 4 guys one girl.

Now I understand I only named 3 areas that I am constantly compromising on, but the key word is CONSTANT. I do not mind though, because I love my boys and I love hanging out with them, so its worth it. But dont call me spoiled. Spoiled would be when your daddy didnt call you a monkey wrench and gave you whatever you wanted. While my dad does watch out for me, he DEFINITELY does not conform to my every whim. If I did I would have a lot more coaches to show for.

Love you Love me

Why is it that when people find out your single they want to hook you up with someone? I cant even count on both hands how many mothers have wanted to hook me up with their sons. This is not a surprise because mothers LOVE me. Obviously if you are reading this you know that because your mom loves me. Unless you are Tam, E, or Bob. Obviously since I have not met your moms. If i did they would probably try to hook me up with you or your brother. E..... Sounds good right?! Tam sorry, I'm straight. Anyways back on the subject. My point is.....
1. If I am single, why not assume there is a reason. Like say, I don't want to be in a relationship....Novel Idea RIGHT.
2. If you are trying to pawn your child, friend, sibling off on me.. there is probably a reason.
3. Please tell me you have taken into consideration that I am not single because I am desperate, and there ARE SOME STANDARDS. Including not a loser and hott :) (please note this is not a joke DO NOT LAUGH....)
Anyways, I guess its nice that people would like to assist me in this area, but rest assure I need no assistance.

Moving on to the next subject Anehiem just won the world cup. Yes I probably spelled that wring but o well. I did not want them to win but after the last game it was inevitable, and expected. I mean no one really though Ottawa would win, right?!

Jeremy moved into his new apt, and everyone and there mama is going to be in Boston in the weeks to come. Of course I am getting Jealous over this, because I want to be there too. We are planning a dope trip in September, and I will probably be there in August. Chris has to come home next month because we have to register our vehicles. Good for me because I miss my Twinny. He texted me that the other day when I was in the grocery store. The FREAKY thing is at the SAME time I was saying out loud (literally out loud) "I miss my twin!" We do that stuff all the time. So much so that now it really doesn't phase us. There have been much weirder cases of twin minds thinking and doing the same thing subconsciously. Like the fact that I ate Ramen Noodles everyday for over a week because my stupid twin would not stop eating them. Note to those that might not know: I don't care too much for Ramen noodle. When he got over the addiction I was VERY happy to stop eating them as well. Or the time we were both trying to take the same person to the same restaurant at the same time because we HAD TO HAVE the salad bar. I was with Millie and I was bothering her like "we HAVE to go to Ruby Tuesdays. At the same time Chris was calling to say "Meet me at Ruby Tuesdays." Those are just a couple examples. Dude I should start a segment called. "Crazy twin thing, of the week." That might be somewhat entertaining. Anyways back to what I was saying 20 minutes ago.... I cant wait to see my twin. Ok well I am ready to not be sitting in front of the TV so I am gonna bounce.

My new job

Tomorrow I start my new job. For those that live in Atlanta or know the area, I have to drive to Cumming. Crappy commute huh! As if Alpharetta isn't bad enough.... then I have to get on the WORST part of 400 exits 10-12. I do not know what my title is, the details of what I will be doing, or how much I will be getting paid. Does this seem backwards to anyone else other than me????? I guess thats what happens when you do things unconventionally like me. The only thing I know is I will be making more then my last position. As of right now I just don't know how much more. I'm not stressing it though. I am really excited. I am kinda hoping that its not like "Welcome to the job you will be in TN the remainder of this week and South Carolina the next." That could be a likely scenario. I am just hoping that I will have some time to settle in get some training documents together, learn the systems I will be training on, all that jazz. Jeremy is leaving in the morning. They are packing all of his stuff up and putting it in the U-haul now. Shaun might be going up for the ride but that is yet to be decided. The RedSocks won again yesterday. The game was really good, but I don't really like watching my team lose so it could have been much better. Honestly I stopped watching when we were 9-6. I went and got Indian food with my dad. So I wore my hair curly all weekend. I actually like it curly. My new cut looks good with the curls. Vincent was saying he likes it curly as well. But half of the people I know tell me to wear it straight all the time because that looks best. I tell you I cant please everyone, so I will pick the hottest guy and please him. Haa haa, man am I funny or what! Ok well I am going to clean my car out. For those of you that know me, you know this is a feat, and Im sure you are really impressed right now. Talk to you later.
Ciao

Im kinda starting to dig on this whole bebo thing. Does this mean I am totally lame? I think I just offended Tam :) Haa haa. Anyways I'm just chilling here watching the Yankee Redsock game. Its really good. It keeps going back and forth. Yea so last night was a late one. We did a boot at the brickstore. If you have seen Octoberfest then you know what "das boot" is. Add couple of beers, some whiskey, and you have one fun filled late night with the Fotis. It was Jeremy's last horrah so we had to go out in style. So my dad is now completely obsessed with making his own ring tones. He has been making them all day. Its nice because now I can have ANY song as a ring and I dont have to pay for it. And the quality is really good. I will take the next minute to bash cell phone companies. How can they charge 3 dollars for a ring tone? Seriously are you kidding? Shouldn't that be part of your phone service. Thats not even the bad thing. I have T Mobile so you have to go through T-zones and you cant hear the ringer until your purchase it, only to find out that the moron who created it took some odd clip that is like 2 seconds of the song. MAN that is annoying. Enough to make me scream. If anyone other than me has had this experience I am sure they can sympathize. So while I am getting annoyed hearing the same clip over and over 20 times while my dad gets the equalizer correct, I am happy that he is doing it. Keep up the good work daddy. In the mean time if you fancy a ring that you cant find somewhere or refuse to buy because like me you feel the conglomerate ring tone industry is unjustified. Then shoot me an email, I will see what I can do for ya.

So Jeremy is moving to Boston on Saturday. Mom is going to the Redsocks game. What a surprise :) haa haa. I didnt know the Yankees were playing this weekend. I really wish I was going. I am going to go in August to the game. Its funny because I went to the game one year ago in August. That was such a fun time! I still have the picture on my blog. So much has changed in a year. I have gone backwards and forward in life, all at the same time. I am pretty sure that I want to stay in the city once I get everything moving with this job. I was at a party in buckhead saturday. It was a pool party but the pool was like on the 3rd floor of this building. The view was amazing. I would love to stay in a place like that. I will start looking next month. I miss having my own space. The girls from Italy are coming in December to stay with me. We are going to go to New York and then to Boston. It is going to be so much stinking fun. I told everyone to catch up on their Italian so that they feel at home. I need to catch up on mine. It will be nice to see them. So I started the south beach diet today. I am really excited. Only thing Im not excited about is no beer. Not to cool :) I am reading the new Nicholas Sparks book. I love him. I had to stop reading because it is VERY time consuming and I am one of those people that cant get their nose out of a book until they have finished it. With work I cant stay up till 3 or so reading so I stopped. Since I dont have to work right now I picked one up. Its really good so far. I will have to give you a book review when I am finished. So what do you guys think about that dance video. Kinda cool huh. I like watching stuff like that. In fact it consumes hours of my day. I guess one could say I need a life, they would probably be right. O well.

This weekend.....TOO MUCH

So this weekend I had too many cookies and too much beer. I made cookies on Friday and then some on Saturday. And I will probably make some to bring to Danas tomorrow. I made PERFECT cookies yesterday. I made them for the boys at the brickstore. Matt came up to me and was like "so ummmm will you date me?" Its was really cute but he might have been a little serious. So I was like "arent you dating someone???" Which I found out he isnt, I guess it didnt work out. The reason he wants me is because I gave him a Westvleteren. In case everyone didnt know I scored some Westvleteren when I was in Belgium. Yea I know I am a pimp. I didnt get as much as I would have liked but Its all good. So tomorrow I will go to a pool party in the afternoon and then spool by the pool party at Danas. I love spool by the pool. They set up a movie screen outside and we watch movies. Its nice. I am nervous about the first party though because I dont really know the people and I am NOT wearing a swim suit. Garden State is on. This is my favorite movie. Its so good. LOVE IT. So today is Rudys Birthday. Blazing the trail with 25. Its ok buddy I am right behind you. Its a milestone. Its hard to grasp the thought of being 25. Ok well I am not in a mood to write so I am going to go now. Oh yea I found a surf board!!! I also found out that the outerbanks has AMAZING surf!! I cant ride them they are that good. like I wont even try, because it would be dangerous. But hopefully by the end of the year I will be able to go out there. Anyways I didnt buy the board yet because I need to save the money I have left from traveling and not having a job for almost 2 months. So I will get it once I start making money. It is actually a good deal too. 335. All of the other ones I have liked have been between 500-700. I dont know why they are so much money. Its crazy. I am going to see if I cant post that video of the surf in the outerbanks. You have to watch it. Ok well I am going to go watch some more videos. I need a life.

The importance of cookies

So my plans for tonight. A friday night, first friday in the states. Drumroll please. I am making some chocolate chip cookies. Kinda lame I know. Let me explain as I did earlier to Rudy. I have this idea that women should be domestic. You would never know this if you saw me in the office. If you ever visited me when I was in my apartment you would be like OK yeah she is a Mini Martha, which I have been coined as in the past. Considering I picked the fabric for and was going to make my own curtains. I have this really traditional side of me that I generally live by. For me making cookies is a form of emotional contentment. It makes me feel like a woman, which haa haa haa I am. Go figure. I love decorating, cooking, sometimes cleaning (that I have to be in the mood for). Basically I love the whole idea that "IF"(big if) I was married I would make the most awesome wife. So to remind myself of that, I make cookies. Only problem, is that the older I get the more I dont want to be a wife. I mean not now at least, if the "right" guy came along, who knows but for now I guess I still have the whole commitment issue, which has caused me to get the "you are so a guy" speech one too many times in my life. Trust me I know Im like a guy. I am a walking contradiction of myself. I love being domestic, but I thrive on work and my career and I love being single, and have issues with commitment. My trip, however did teach me some things in the way. So what did I learn about myself on this trip.

1. I love and missed making my family cookies.
2. I am much stronger than I thought I was
3. I love sparkling water
4. I don't have to move so fast in life
5. There are so many adventures I have yet to take
6. I am perfectly content not being interested in any guys
7. I love the benefits of staying single, so plan on doing that much longer

So my plans for tonight lame as it might be, make cookies. Well after I go out to dinner with my bros. Then we are finally watching a movie that Rudy and I wanted to see like months ago. Expect pictures from my trip soon. Belgium is amazing. Man that is about all I can say. O yea so my brother got an APT in Boston and is leaving after the 1st. Talk about crazy. Last October when we were up there we talked about moving there together. I guess I got left behind for a while. I will be going as well but not anytime soon. I need to work here for a while. I was going to be up there this week but I cant decide if I want to go. So I probably wont. I just want to surf. It is ALL I can think about now that it is warm. If I was in Boston I could go out to the cape and surf. I am thinking about hitting Tybee this week. Maybe catch a few waves. I guess I will just play it by ear. The water up north would be really cold, and I would have to wear a full wetsuit. I dont really want to wear a full wetsuit. So none of us are working right now. Its really funny to me. 4 Fotis all NOT working. Its GREAT. Jeremy and I will both start working our new jobs around the same time. I still dont know anything about my new job. Its kinda weird. I dont even know where I will be working. I just know that I start the 4th. I will email my boss Tuesday and find that out, you know since its kinda important to know where your office is and all. I do know that my region is in the south. so hopefully I get to go to Florida frequently. Ok well I am out of here. Leave me a comment. I have a feeling I will get 2. Since only two people read this. Haa haa. I know a lot more pple that do. But they dont comment. GRRRR thats what I think about you :) haa haa

Paris.

Ok so I leave here for Paris in 1 day, and I have no idea where I am staying. I am trying to find a hostel but it is more than frustrating. You would think of all places Paris would be the easiest place to find a hostel right,? WRONG. I dont really even want to go to Paris, kinda funny for the girl who almost moved there two years ago. Still hard to believe it has been that long. Anyways I am going to go, I have to figure out where I will be staying in Paris. I want to go to the Ballet while I am there. :) Thats Sarah for ya.

Man I will miss this place, miss these people

Last night was by far the best night have had in Italy. Flavio arranged for us to go to another brewery he was telling me about. This was the coolest place I have ever been. Its HUGE and in like a castle, I dont know if its an original or if it just looks like one. Anyways this place probably had about 150 people there. And Italians all break out in song like everyone yelling and singing, like out of a movie but better than any movie I have ever seen. Then get this....NO JOKE people all stand on the chairs and tables and start dancing and singing. We left before it got really good. At 12AM everyone in the place gets on the tables. They have peanuts there and we had about 20 handfuls that the guys brought to the tavelo which caused an all out war of peanuts. The bouncer was sent to our table 3 times. Me being cute, I turned and handed him a peanut, he laughed and ate it and walked away. Back to the singing, everyone here knows the songs, they pound on the tables and all go crazy. Unfortunatley my camera died just when things were getting really crazy. So I have video of early in the night. I will have to post my videos on U-tube when I return. I am really going to miss my friends here. The girls keep saying "dont go to parigi (paris in Italian) you stay here with us. Or you go then come back to Torino." There was a tavela of I think 13 of us last night. Then another table came of about 8, they knew our group, so we ended up in a little peanut war with them as well. Ok so another story, I really funny one. So yesterday I was at Piazza Castello they had a festival going on called under 15 it is a festival for the arts. All children under 15. They have art work, singing and dancing. So I hear black eyed peas playing from the dance stage, my humps, Bobbie I thought of you when I heard it :) that should make you smile. Anyways so Im thinking they have some jazz or hiphop performance so I go over to watch it. Guys this is not a joke, it is what I actually saw, I can only say that I wish I had my camera so you could see it. So I make it through the crowd of maybe 200 pple to find two girls, under 15, they looked maybe 12 or 13. They did not have any coreography and they were booty dancing on eachother and humping the groud. I sat there and was like umm is this a joke. When I realized it wasnt I could only sit there is shock. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE seen anything like it. And they were trying to do the my humps my humps my lovely lady humps, so they are just up there on this huge stage dancing around putting their chests on eachother and trying to drop it, trying being the opperitive word. When it ended I could only sit thinking, where are these girls parents, I would like to slap them. Yea so I have to watch the kids again tonight, I like all night while the parents go out. I am leaving here Thursday, the mom asked me to stay to help on Wed. Babysit. It will give me only 1 week of travel, originally I would have had 10 days. I will be in Paris for 2 days and the Brussels for 2 and then Bruges for 2 then in London for less than a day, because I dont like London, sorry guys, bad experience you understand. Did I tell you that they broke my Donna Von Furstenburg luggage there on top of EVERYTHING else? Yea gotta love those Brits. Anyways my plane lands 1:23 on 5/24/07.

Ok well that is all of the post I have for now. I posted some pics. I have not done anything with them. I will create an album of everything when I return. Check the pics out. Love yall....there we go my southern drawl.

Ok so Italy definitley has its advantages. I am surfing the net and drinking a beer in an ELECTRONIC store. Kinda kool. The bartender knew that I was not Italian, I didnt even say anything and he says, hey how are you? So I was like huh? Ok so I start speaking Italian/English Vorei... what kinda beer do you have. The other bartender comes over, an older guy in his 50s maybe older and he says where are you from. I say America and he said the english come over here and are always stuck up. You Americans come over and your all "hey whats up yea I like beer, real laid back." It was really funny. I have found that the Italians actually really like Americans, they do not care too much for the British though, and the British they dont care for the Americans. I will have to let you know about the French and Belgians. Ok so I am trying to figure out what and where I can going. I would like to go to Spain or the french rivera. I need a beach!!!! Its so hot here today its not even funny. I am very ready to go home. Today I go to a newstand and find an English magazine, Glamour. They are charging 10Euro for it. That is 13 dollars. OK 13 dollars for a magazine what the..... yea fill in the blank. I was like whatever. On the cover it says 4.50 for foriegn sales. I was like Non Gratzie and walked out. Anyways what else wont I miss, the screaming. These kids cry non stop its not even crying if it was i would be happy, its yelling, crying, kicking, screaming. I will NOT miss it one bit. SO I had plans tonight with a bunch of pple only to find out I am watching the kids so the parents can go to dinner. I am really annoyed about it. VERY annoyed. O well. I will be gone in a few days, and then I can chill on the beach. I go back to work on 6/4/ I am so excited. I have my promotion and I was told that they have some exciting stuff planned. Back to corporate AMERICA. Haa haa, its not that Italy is not AMAZING beyond AMAZING but its not home. I am really use to home. I made my first cafè today at home. My daddy would be proud. I used the old Italian espresso press thingy. Molto Buono. Very nice. Anyways Rudy is going to be creating a tour of Belgium for me. This way I will know where I am going. Still dont know what day I am coming home. I should probably decide that soon. Like now. I wanted to come home by the 24th. The little brother is turning 23 and I want to go with him to the beach. It might have to be the week of memorial day though. Depending on my return. Well I dont know. AHH this is a hard decision. I should just leave tomorrow as planned for Paris and then I will be fine coming home the 23rd. Haa haa. Ciao.

Change of plans

This weekend I will have a small change of plans. I am going to go to Paris on Monday and hang out for uhh I dont know 3 days. Then I am going to go to Belgium for a week on a beer tour. This is going to be amazing. THEN.... get this, Im coming home. I know I know three months in Italy who wouldnt want to stay? The answer, me. I dont like watching these children. And since I dont like it Im not going to do it. SO I will plan a trip back to Italy next spring or maybe this fall, who knows. I am very excited to be coing home though. Im not even going to lie. Ok so Elissa and Tam are in London. I will be back in London on my return home, which will probably be around the 23rd, still have not decided. I will have tons of pictures when I return. Truthfully I have not taken too many pictures of Italy, but I got a new card that will hold 1000 pictures on my camera and you can expect pictures galore of Paris and Belgium. Ok well Im going to keep this one short. Im going to try and figure out what day E and Tam are coming home. If you are reading this and you know. Post a comment and tell me.

One thing that sucks about Italy

So one thing you should know about Italy....

Nothing is EVER open. Stores are closed usually on Mondays, actually a Monday looks like a Sunday in a small town. Yesterday I took a bus to the big store that sells all the Italian food and when I get there after a 40 minute hike and a bus ticket, it was closed. Because its monday. Stores are closed from 12-2 in the afternoon as well and then one day a week, depending on the owner stores are closed a half day. You never know when things will be open. This includes pizza places, cafès and grocery stores. Now you can still find stuff, and not EVERYTHING closed. But lets just say it is NOT like America. However in America you dont have food markets that span for blocks. Its awesome. They are everywhere. And the fruit is really really good.

So yesterday I used a badae for the first time. I have one in my bathroom. It NEVER gets used by me. The family I live with was like none of the Americans use the badae. Well I was looking at it yesterday and was thinking,. hmmmm I wanna try,. Let me just say those things are awesome. Everyone should have one. It shoots water up your butt. Its not like a lot its nice. So I am sure everyone is thinking WOW TMI. but I bet your all laughing. This is the stuff you want to read on a blog. The stuff you tell your friends and they repeat it the first time meeting your new boyfriend :)

SO last night I went out with the guy that I met Sunday. We went with 3 of his friends to a brewery. The beer was really nice. The two girls we went with want to come beer hopping through belgium with me in July. It will be AWESOME. I had a really nice time. So today I need to find a ballet school. Still have not done that. Ok well I am going to run. I will have to think of some funny things to put on here. Im trying to get ready for the beach and have no idea where pple get bikini waxes around here. Im sure that would make for some GREAT stories. Scuzie dove a bikini wax. This should be fun.

My weekend

Ok so my weekend...
Cut my hair. If my mother saw it she would hate it. I have bangs. A mid bang. I took lots of pictures but I cant seem to capture the real look. You cant see the layers very well. It is VERY Italian. All of the girls chop their hair like this. It is VERY blunt in the front and almost crazy looking. I like it tho. Mom you would say. What the heck did you do to your hair it looks retarded. Except your choice of words probably not so gentle. Dad and the boys are laughing upon reading this because they know exactly what I am talking about. Friday I chilled with Angela and got online. Saturday I went out with Andrèa he took me on like a 6mile walk through turin. It was really awesome. I saw a lot of really cool places. It as like 10-12 at night. He missed his bus and had to walk an hour to get home. I felt really bad. I met a new family yesterday with two sons. Their oldest has taken me under his wing and he is going to teach me some Italian and take me to an Irish Pub the was like 10feet from my house. It is in the same sqaure I live in and had no idea. Got to love the locals right. He speaks fluent English and Chinese on top of Italian. Umm what else...

Everyone keeps asking me when I am coming home. Truthfully I was ready to come home this week. These children are really bad and after saturday I was ready to call it quits. I came home and they had picked me roses to say sorry for not behaving. How sweet is that. I really need to just hang in there till June. Then I can spend a month on the beach. The locals here are very thrown by the fact that I dont speak Italian. Andèa was like when I met you and you started to talk I was like "why is she talking like that" He said that he saw me I was Italian so why dont I speak it. We went out to eat and the man in the Kabob shop was asking him, why I dont speak italian. He says I look Sardinian. So I cant wait to see the girls in Sardnina. Just to see how they compare. Its just funny because I look like all of the other girls around here. I will still be coming home in July though. I am going to start a new coundown of my return.... I come back from Sardinia in July. Then I think I will leave here on train and go to Belgium and France for a week. Then back to London for my flight home, which will be the 23rd of July. I will spend that next week in Boston or NewYork with my Twin at which time we will turn 25 WOW scary I know. Then I will return home and go back to work July 30th.. With that being said..... If you want to join me in Boston or NewYork let me know. I am always up for company. FUN STUFF.

Today I was supposed to start a diet. I have 5 weeks to lose 10 lbs. Ideally I would like to lose more but even 10 lbs will pose a problem since the cloths I brought with me wont fit. I walk so much here that if I stop eating pizza everyday, literally. I should drop the weight no problem. I want to be super fit for Sardinia. Ok so this is where you come in. I need diet suggestions from you guys. Give me something healthy that taste good. I will be eating lots of fruit and salad. I will still eat a few things on the weekends though. I mean Im in Italy I cant pass EVERYTHING up. I will let you know how I progress. Twin I know will be the most interested to know. I am also going to train for a 10k so that when I get home I can do a race. If you would like to join me with that, then that would be awesome as well. SO I went to a Ballet school friday. I am supposed to go to a class Wed. And dance for the teacher so that she can place me. However.....that will not work because then after they place me I can not dance there till June because of the performance they will be having. They are not holding classes because they are all preparing for that. In June I will not be here to dance. So now I have to find a new ballet school. I think I will look on the internet now. Or maybe the phonebook. I cant wait to dance. I need new shoes though. OF all things to forget I forgot my shoes. Mine were all broken in too. Oh well. I have everything else tho. Including my legwarmers. Ok well I must go now. I hope this was not too boring. Now everyone knows my itinerary. I shall go to Milan this weekend. I will take pictures.

Raining here

It has been raining here for the past 4 days. Its gross. I walked 2 miles in it so far today. Dont you just love the city. I have 8 minutes to blog and then I must run. I have been emailing pple for the last umm hour. If you would like me to email you, please email me. Sefoti@yahoo.com SO the last blog I meant to say I drink 3 caffè a day. I realized the other day that from my window you can see the alps. When I say the alps, I literally mean the snow capped alps. You can see the snow. Its been overcast but when it clear you can see it. The other day between rain stoms the cloud parted and there they were. I took a picture but it looks fake. You wont believe me when you see it. I went to send my dad a package today with Italian foods. They were going to charge me 87€. Needless to say I said non gratzie to that. I will be on AIM today if you would like to chat. I will be on at 2:00 or 2:30 my time. Which is 8:00-8:30 am your time. I have a feeling no one will be on. I have this weekend off. I kinda was thinking about going to Paris, but i have plans with some pple. If i decide to go I will let you know. Belgium sounds nice ;) Haa haa.. Ok gtg. SAY love Ciao Bella

Ok so my new obsession...
Caffè I swear I didnt 3 a day. Sometimes two back to back, like yesterday and this morning. It is really cheap here. Today for 2 euros I had a chocolate crossant and a Caffè at a Tavelo. Tables are more money here. Have I explained the Bars here? You see signs everywhere for bars. That simply means they have a bar, which is wear you drink your Caffè. Bar does not mean alcohol. Some carry spirits though that you would put in your caffè like sambuca. I found an AWESOME store yesterday. It has food from all over Italy. Mainly Pasta, olive oils means and cheese..... But they have a library and free internet and about 6 places to eat. Bars that serve all different foods. It was really cool. I got really lost getting there. Some woman that spoke English, the only one I met that day, told me to get off the bus and sent me to the train station. Mind you, I was on the right bus. I ended up lost in the train station then at Lingotto about 10 miles from where i needed to go. I found an old lady who spoke no English who walked me to the train. Ordinarilly I would have stayed on the 1 bus and it would have dropped me off in front of this place. Man I love helpful people...RIGHT. Anyways, people here do not shower daily. That is why they use badaes. A lot of people here are not very fresh smelling as a result. In fact its pretty bad. Just thought I would through that in there. Umm David. If you read this email me because I do not have your address. Or post a comment. Rudy, I texted you last night, did you get it? You need to email me as well. I want to know all about your new house. Ok well I have to go. Spell check doesnt work here and I dont feel like looking over this. If it doesnt make sense too bad figure it out. :)

Say love

Ok so it is a Holiday here in Italy. That means everything, and by everything I mean EVERYTHING is closed. Not like in the states where you can still find stuff open. I am at the law firm working in someones office. They have a cafè machine here that is AMAZING. It makes shots of espresso. I met some cool people, and was invited to the seaside today. The guys name is Andrea. It is pronounced and-ray-ah. he speaks Italian and very little english. So the other night I met about 12 people. All really sweet! Anyways we talked most of the time and he just sat and laughed at me because half of the time he couldnt understand me. I got the text last night and assumed it was Angela that invited me so I texted her and said I couldnt go. Then realized after she called me that she was not the one who invited me. Oops. Anyways the English congregation is nice. I am not use to Italians tho. The women touched me WAY too much. I do not like that. I was actually really annoyed and thought "I could never stay here." They just play with my hair the whole time they were talking to me. And personal space forget about it, completly invaded :) I am going to be attending the Italian hall though. The people I met were from French, Portugese, Italian and English. We had a lot of differnt laguages going. And I had a translator. That is working against me. Everyone translates for me here so I am always speaking English. Which is why I will be going to meetings in Italian. I need to join a language school but because I am going to be at the beach for a month I dont know when I will be doing that. I can not wait to go to Sardinia. Look for pics online. Its paradise. Anyways, I am going to go. O yea. The cookies here. They have these canoli cookies that are filled with chocolate. They come in a package of 6 for like 1.50€ they are amazing. I am sending some to my daddy tomorrow. They are not too sweet. Italians like sweets but they are not as sweet as you would find there it is really nice. Ok well I will go now. But expect more from me, I will be in Milan next weekend and then Florence for a Ballet and Opera festival in May or June.

Ciao

Ciao Bella,

My first Italian post. Yay. I have so much to say but I dont have much time to write so you will get a little now and more later. Italy is wonderful. I dont know what anyone is saying but its all good. I am learning a lot about this culture.
1. Italians do not like lines, if you are in a line your not getting served.
2. Italians LOVE Gelata and Pizza (within 1 mile at least 3 gelatteria)
3. Italian men coined the phrase metro. (90% of Italian men look gay. 60% act gay.) This has me VERY confused :)
4. Italians love american culture. What is our culture? American music. All of the stores play our music and watch out TV shows. They also wear american phrases on their shirts. I can read it they cant. Kinda funny. Rosie the houskeeper bought one of the girls a shirt that was written in English. It said smile its a sunny day. She had no idea what it said and asked the little one to ask me.

Its really nice here. I think I will go to Milan in a couple weeks. Its really close to me. I have been taking pictures of my neighborhood. I will post them eventually. Every day I have a caffè which is 80 cents. Its a shot of espresso with a dallop of foam. Bellisimo!!!!

Ok well I am going to go get lunch. It is 12:51 here which means its almost 7am for you.

Ciao

Sad Sad Day

My passport is now in my possession! Yay. I have nothing else to worry about. I am getting really excited. My last day of work is tomorrow, and I am going to Cheesecake Factory. I love that place. Man the office is going to be a different place without me. Its sad to think about. They announced that they would be filling my position, which lead me to question why. I know they were not going to have another Trainer. They opened the floor to me in the meeting and I said "You say you are replacing me, is this a training position? Are you looking for a Trainer?" The answer "No its not a training position." So how exactly is that replacing me? Basically they now can add an additional person to the department who will get to sit in my cube. I was treated really well here so I can definitely not complain. I will miss everyone. I know tomorrow will be one marked of many tears. My supervisor started crying the other day because we were talking about me leaving. She said "you have no idea how much I will miss you." I love talking to her about everything. Work, fashion, boys. Man she has heard about all of the boys. Antoinette, Man I can say anything about that. We miss each other if we take a day off. We have met up for lunch on her days off. We talk on the phone on our way to work. Basically we are really close, and she and I will definitely go through withdrawals. Then there is my boss. Today when she was leaving she said "I love you girlie". It was really sweet because I know that she really meant it. I have been here for 4 years! 4 Years. I know that no matter how it is cut I will be missed, but bottom line, I will miss each and everyone of them more. I have developed into a professional, corporate woman working for this company. From sorting mail to presenting in front of 80+ people representing our corporate department. From wearing Abercrombie khakis to work, to Sweater Sets, skirts and pearls. There is no doubt that me being as refined as I am came from this place. This is the type of blog that people get bored with, so I will end here. I guess I just needed to vent. Man things are really starting to look sad. Very Very sad.

Cutting it close

Ok so I am definitely cutting it close with the whole passport thing. 4 days and I still dont have my passport. Good new though. I found out that it is done and it is being fedexed to me. A sigh of relief can be heard within a mile radius. I was so relieved as the guy over the phone read my tracking number off. So now I am getting nervous and scared and sad. I dont want to leave my boys. I am so use to being around them and being one of the guys that I dont know if I know how to be anything else. I am sure I will manage but its going to be sad. I get attached to thing, and people really easily. I am going to miss my job so much. Whats really sad is even if I do come back I wont be back in my office. So that is going to be hard. I love my cube. I have a view that goes on for miles. I have a wall of all glass looking out over everything. Its amazing, and its only been mine. No one has been there but me. I wish that there would be no one after me. Anyways the guys are watching Hockey and I have beer, Pizza and a 60+ inch TV calling my name.

I will blog later.

No comments on my hottie below?

My new obsession

My new obsession is You-Tube. I have Rob to thank for this. We were talking about football and he sent me a link on you-tube so I could hear the song they sing at the games in England. I went and watched the video and something caught my eye. Now what could that be. Ballet. I saw a ballet video posted and since then I have spent a total of about 2 hours watching ballet videos on you-tube. Its the most awesome thing I have ever seen. I am so sad though from watching. I have not been to ballet in over a month. Maybe even longer. I miss it so much that it almost makes me sad to watch the videos. I was looking for some tights today to wear with my skirt today, since it is suddenly freezing outside (what is going on with the weather anyways?). When I went in my tight drawer I found all of my ballet tights, leotards, and here is the kicker....My leg warmers. I love leg warmers!!! It made me so incredibly sad. I HAVE to start dancing as soon as I get into Italy. I had no idea how much I would miss it. I am bringing all of my ballet cloths with me. I guess this all sounds rubbish, if you are not into or you dont understand the passion that comes from dancing. It is emotionally and physically tedious, and I LOVE IT. Every plie, fioutte, pirouette and sous sous. You name it I love it. I also checked out some videos of fabio canavaro AKA. The most perfect man ever created. I must admit I am beyond enthralled by him, to a point that it might not be, and Im sure its not, healthy. I will end on that note. FABIO CANNAVARO.

Friday at last

Its Friday! Thank god for that! I am at work right now, working. Cant you tell. I worked really hard today actually. I thought I would be here all night but I finished what I was working on early. So now I get to go home on time. This weekend is my last weekend here. I dont have any plans either. I am kinda in a mood. Like I just feel chill, I think tired is a better term. I have so much to do before I leave. My passport still has not arrived. I was on hold with them for 50 minutes last night. I found out my passport is in New Orleans being processed. They put a note on it to Fedex it to me but she told me it could be Monday before they even get the note. I guess its safe to say I am officially panicked! I think that is part of my problem. That and the fact that everything I know is about to change. So last night birch was over and he showed me google earth for the first time. I have to tell you it is my new obsession. I was wanting to put it on my computer at work. I located the troops in Iraq, found land mines in Iraq. Checked out my new home in Italy. Checked out my moms pad in Boston. If you are a Google Earth virgin I will just let you know you have a LOT to look forward to. I would suggest trying it out as soon as possible. Its something you really have to experience for yourself. Just make sure that you set aside an sufficient amount of time because once you start you will not want to stop. Umm lets see what else. Tam I hope you have fun at martini night. Sorry I am not joining you. I just dont feel like venturing out. I am realizing that I am like that these days. I do the same thing basically EVERY weekend. Brickstore and the boys. Anyways I am going to get back to work now. This was fun, we should do it again sometime. PEACE

The lips concert was off the hizzie. Check it out. FYI the comment... "the one you love flirting with all your friends" was posted by my older brother. Kinda funny though because it might be a little true. What I was trying to say was the one you love having around for the obvious reason, she always brings a good time. Anyways my brother came behind me and finished my post. Anyways. The concert was so much fun. I have officially lost my voice. I got ice cream thinking it would help but it hasnt yet. Man I am so tired. I can not wait to SLEEP. These were the pictures taken with my phone. There were better ones taken, I will put them up as soon as they are sent to me. Night.

So the whole me being engaged thing was funny, until people and by people I mean Kandice :) really thought i was engagged. Suddenly not as funny. Come one pple. I am the eternally single chick. The one that you love having flirt with all your friends

Tuesday, April 10, 2007

Thank you Kandice.

E dont worry about missing the party because I am not having one. I am so confused, but at this point does it really make a difference? Im just confused because they (My dad and brothers) were all into throwing a party and then that turned into nothing, when they realized the thrashers were way more interesting. Anyways I have neither the time or energy to think about it. So the night of my life is tomorrow. Flaming lips concert 2007. If you have ever been to a lips concert then you understand. It like a party thrown just for you. Most amazing concert I have ever been too. Im just really excited because its going to be the whole gang. 11 of us are going. Its going to be off the chain. So Kandice really came threw for me today and I have to say a huge thank you. She hooked me up with someone to watch over me in London. I was so scared to be there by myself, I kept imagining me getting lost, missing my plane. The whole nine yards. She made a call and now I have nothing to worry about. I love having friends who have friends. Guys I am so stressed right now. I dont know why! Maybe its the fact that I still have no idea where my passport it and i leave in 9 days. Hmm that could pose multiple problems. So I decided to post some engagement pictures of me and Rudy. See below. I was actually looking for a specific picture of me and kandice from chris's going away party and I dont have it. I found these pictures from superbowl though. This is right after I darkened my hair, which by the way I need to do again. Its fading, I like it darker.

I just threw the one of me and my brothers in there because I thought it was cute.
Chris by the way is wearing Kandices scarf around his neck. Those boys.....
